Where does my data live?
On EU infrastructure — currently Germany (Contabo, Nürnberg) — under GDPR, NIS2, and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. The contract is governed by Luxembourg law, with the CNPD as supervisory authority; the DPA reflects that without a schedule-II 'international transfer' annex. The software stack is open source, auditable end-to-end. If foreign-jurisdiction extra-territoriality (US CLOUD Act, FISA 702, equivalents elsewhere) matters to your threat model, ask — we'll walk through it.
What happens if I cancel? Do I get my data?
Yes. At any time, including after a 30-day free trial of Mesh or Fleet, you get a full export of every mailbox (EML + maildir), every file (in original formats), every calendar (iCal), every contact (vCard) and every database row that's yours. Format is standard — you can re-import into Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Mailbox.org, anywhere. No proprietary lock-in by design.
Why is your Core tier €7 when Microsoft 365 Basic is €6.50?
Because Core at €7 includes a managed password manager, encrypted off-site backup, enforced MFA, GDPR-compliant DPA, EU-only data residency and ticket support — none of which come bundled at €6.50 with Microsoft. Side-by-side feature parity is closer to Microsoft 365 Business Standard at €13. Core at €7 is ~46% cheaper for the same outcomes.
Are setup fees really free?
Yes — when you commit to twelve months. We absorb the onboarding cost (typically 6–15 hours of our time, including mailbox migration up to 25 mailboxes for Mesh, or 5 device enrollments for Fleet). If you want month-to-month flexibility, we charge €490 (Mesh) or €1,490 (Fleet) up front, because we still spend the time. The first five customers get the founding deal: three months free, no commitment, no card on file, no installation fee.
What's your SLA when something breaks?
We publish response times, not resolution times — because anyone promising a hard resolution SLA on a deeply integrated software stack is overpromising. Core: 1 business day response. Mesh: 4 business hours. Fleet: 1 business hour, best-effort outside business hours. Status page at status.kiwistack.io. You'll never have to email three times to get a response.
Will my email actually get through to Gmail and Microsoft?
Yes. We publish SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MTA-STS records; we keep the sending IP reputation warm; and for high-volume customers we route outbound through a reputable EU SMTP relay. We test deliverability into Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, ProtonMail, Mailbox.org and Infomaniak before declaring a tenant production-ready.
Can we keep our existing email address?
Yes. We migrate your domain over (or just the MX records, if you want to keep DNS at your current registrar). Your team's email addresses stay identical: anne@yourcompany.be remains anne@yourcompany.be. They simply log in at a new portal.
What if we have 80 employees, not 50?
Fleet scales above 50 — we just stop publishing prices and have a real conversation. Above 100 users we typically split workloads across two dedicated servers and add a second region for hot standby. Volume discount kicks in automatically: −5% from 25 users, −10% from 50.
